I've called often in this spot and I've lost it mostly.

Then again, I doubt it matters much what you do on the river.

Obviously the other streets are standard.

i thought that any1 with knowledge of basic poker theory would know why, but here it goes- Any raise folds out all worse hands and better hands continue, plus by just calling we are very unconcerned with giving a "free" card because of the proximity of our PP to the top card on the board

Sorry, it's my first time playing.

I know the game has changed a bit over the last year+, but when I played these stakes, I rarely saw people value betting worse hands in 3-bet pot on this flop texture. Especially adding in where the first raise come from and the 3-bet.

I understand that turning QQ into a bluff isn't going to be profitable in many spots, but I think this is one of those spots.

So back to basic poker theory, how often do you expect JJ/TT to value bet the river? I don't think we can add much more to villians range based on his stats, the action, the board texture, and the size of his bets.

Your other option is to call the turn, as villian did, hoping there's no more action.

For sure call, although you do see KK/AX where x=2-J a lot.

I honestly don't know the answer, so I'm going to ask of course. How often does someone who is a 22/14 3-bet OOP in a 2/4 game to a UTG raise with 22-99? And how often are they betting this light on the river with those hands? Seems like throwing money away...

Well if u wanna turn it into a bluff that is fine, but dont raise the turn to "find out where ur at", that tilts me when people say that sorry(dont even know if thats what u said, but thats how i interpreted it on my first read)

i think calling the turn is fine, as villain can be making this bet as a blocker/"i dont know what to do with my TT/JJ here" bet, but once he bets the river i thinkj it is an easy fold

No problem. Just try not to interpret, and you'll be fine.

I fold the river. Dont think he bluffs the river after you call turn, and dont think he valuebets QQ and less here.
