Weird river spot
no hh from this site. 4 handed 25/50 with two shorstacks. the other full stack is to my direct right, we are 7k deep. No history between us, he's been playing pretty loosely preflop, calling a lot in and out of position, and being fairly aggressive postflop. I saw him get it in badly vs. a 2k stack not long ago.
The hand: folds to villain in sb, he makes a standard raise to 150, i call with Q9o in the bb. the flop is AK9r. he checks, i check. turn 9s putting 2 spades out. he checks, i bet 210 into 300, he calls quickly. river blank, 7c. he checks, i bet 550 into 720, he quickly shoves. 6300 ish for me to call. i just let this go i guess or can i call? |

pretty sure you can let it go [/ QUOTE ] now that i've thought about it, I'm almost 100% sure that calling is retarded. Of course, I snap tilt called and lost to AA. seems pretty obvious to me now that he has a monster. My hand looks exactly like what it is, and he's shoving a huge amount. I think it is a lower 9 some amount but not enough to call. I think he has like 97 or 77 here a lot, though I guess AA makes sense he just played it super sneaky. |
