flopped set deep vs a semi-idiot, did I play it too fast?
Poker Stars - No Limit Hold'em Cash Game - $2/$4 Blinds - 6 Players - (LegoPoker Hand History Converter)
SB: $291.10 BB: $921.80 UTG: $400.00 Hero (MP): $1,154.00 CO: $429.20 BTN: $567.90 Preflop: Hero is dealt 5[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 5[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (6 Players) UTG folds, <font color="red">Hero raises to $16.00</font>, 2 folds, SB calls $14.00, BB calls $12.00 Flop: ($48) 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 3[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 5[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (3 Players) SB checks, BB checks, <font color="red">Hero bets $34.00</font>, SB folds, <font color="red">BB raises to $75.00</font>, <font color="red">Hero raises to $180.00</font>, BB folds Pot Size: $303.00 ($3 Rake) an earlier hand w/ this villian he raised from mp, I called on button w/ 9T, flop was ATx, he bet I called, turn was a 9, he bet, I raised, he shoved w/ A8, I held... I'm not so much concerned w/ the metagame and this particular villian, but more w/ how to play these hands this deep vs the fish in general. Villian was a 32/8 |

not really sure about what the best play is however, at least now you know his minraise means nothing, take advantage of that in future hands. i think based on history u provided this play might be ok.

Given how much he overplays his hands I think this is the best line to take. On a dryer board I'd be inclined to play it a little slower probably, but your best bet here is to try and get the money in fast, IMO.

yeah can't decide if I want him in the lead or not, trying to not be results oriented I think you really want to try and get the money in now, wp.
