Default Busing to AC: Where to stop to get free casino monies?

I am heading to AC on greyhound using the casino fare this weekend with a friend. Although the trip only costs $40 round trip, I remember that there used to be a deal where you could get like a $25 or $20 in casino chips from the casino you stop at if you take the bus in.

Does anyone know where the best place to stop is in terms of free monies? Also how do you go about getting the monies once you are there?

I've recently gone on Academy for $31 r/t from Port Authority. They game $20 at Trump Marina and Claridge. It seems pretty standard procedure.

they're all about the same, in the $20-25 range. some give straight cash, some give a voucher you bring to the cashier (no ID or players card required), some places make you sign up for the players card first if you're not already, some give free slot play instead of cash, some give an extra $5 voucher for food, some don't, etc etc.

if you really care, you can call the casino you want to go to and ask to be transferred to the bus marketing department. sometimes the bus terminal (from where you're leaving) has a list of offers posted on the wall. I wouldn't go nuts picking a place that gives $2 more and then ends up being a mile away from where you actually want to play.

Great, that is very good advice. I didn't really even know who to call but "bus marketing" will be very helpful. I will call Greyhound to find out where they drop off also. I am not sure that they go to every casino.

Greyhound goes everywhere but Borgata, IIRC.

NYC to AC
AC to NYC (I wouldn't count on those departures from the Sands, though.)

The Greyhound Lucky Streak page now includes the Philly, Baltimore and DC to/from AC routes.

There's thread from a while back about the various comps offered (info which is probably out of date, but not totally useless)...I'll see if I can dig it up.

Edit: Here it is... Atlantic City Bus Comps by Casino.

Academy Bus lists the casino paybacks on their site:

http://www.academybus.com/casinos_packages.asp

I'm not sure if the casinos listed on the Academy site offer the same cash amounts to the Greyhound riders.

The one problem with Academy is that it makes a 15-20 minute stop at the Cheesequake rest stop.

I believe the Greyhound goes straight through.
