You need to win this about 27% of the time to make te call affordable, so that only if his range consists entirely of sets you don't have the odds to call, so the call is in order with the odds you are getting. I personally though would have called this to get more dead money in the pot and to see what the other players are up to, they might have been slowplaying a set or twopair.

How has the table been playing? Against a weak table I will raise this to ~$0.80 preflop fairly often. Obviously if its a table of stations just limp.

My inclination is to lead the flop. As played, I just call instead of putting on the c/r. Its not really to your advantage to get this pot heads up.

Usually it plays somewhat weak/passive preflop and pretty weak postflop. If I raise preflop I think I'd get 1-2 callers.

90% of the time in spots like these where the whole table checks nobody has anything and the button takes it down with a psb, so I figured if i just call everybody would fold to his bet and I'd end up HU oop anyway. The c/r takes it down probably 30%-40% of the time and once he pushes his stacksize makes it a close call.

A lead wouldn't be to bad in retrospect but my usual play oop with a fd in a multiway pot is to check and see what happens .

This should be a situation where you lead or c/c, c/r is the worst option here.

He doesnt have a stack that gives you proper odds to make this raise here IMO. Its not like he can make things real exp. for you. Its a breakeven play here at best.

Yeah I don't like the c/r. You want more callers in this pot for when you hit your flush. No point in reducing your implied odds by driving them out the pot. You have played the hand how I would play top pair in LIMIT poker!
