I'll settle this argument.

You're right, 'Tap' means to bet 0.80 pot. Also:

'ding' means fold
'hein' means check
'snap' means bet 1/3 pot
'zing' means bet half pot
'poot' means bet 2/3 pot
'bapp' means bet pot

To bet anything else, combine the following:
'forf'- 1% pot
'nart'- 10% pot

To go all in you need to have the actual count, for example: 'bapp bapp zing nart forf'.

Try it at your local casino. If no one understands, call the floor. The floor will know.

Aloy,

If you played with badass NL players like me you would have heard the word "tap" used.

awhile back when I started playing I played a monthly home game w/ Old timers 50-70 year olds I was 19 at the time. It was a mixed game 5 card stud and 5 card draw (talk about extinct) both NL table stakes. These older gentlemen would regulary use the term "TAP" - which meant bet all the chips in front of me.

how is it possible that no one has mentioned rounders? in their hu match mike mcd first says to kgb, "i tap your tap." later, after mike picks up kgb's oreo tell and checks top 2-pr on the flop, kgb says, "no checks here. i tap you."

i've never actually heard it used in person, however.

El Diablo - if I bankrolled myself for your 50/100 game, I'd be broke after a session based on the "retard-LAG style" I've developed over the years. Unless you high stakes badasses all go busto soon and start playing mid-stakes, I don't think I'm ever gonna hear "tap" at the table.

If I Move Up To A Bigger Game I'm Saying "Tap" All Day Long,
-Al
