Re: the well: KRANTZ
What's a good plan for defending against people who call every 3bet, especially in position, and float the flop a lot or raise the flop if they think you missed a lot?

[ QUOTE ] Doesn't it bother you to give away precious information/analysis that you have come up with to your students for a lot less than it's really worth? [/ QUOTE ] good question, and i'm falling asleep so i can't answer it well enough right now. will get to it and anything else in the AM. [/ QUOTE ] it doesn't bother me. on one hand, i like teaching a lot. and on the other hand, there's really no substitute for actually playing. i can impart some wisdom/concepts to a student, and they'll usually grasp it immediately, but they won't fully understand what I mean until they play a ton of hands and experiment/encounter these things on their own. |

[/ QUOTE ] tighten up your 3-betting range so you're in there with a stronger core of hands. or be prepared to get bluffy and engage in some high variance [censored], otherwise. |

Re: the well: KRANTZ
$100NL. In 20 hands, I open 3 mediocre hands (KTs, AT etc) for $3. Each time the dude sat to my left mini-raises to $5. The flop misses me and I fold to a C-bet. He is playing something like 50/20 over 20 hands. What adjustments do you make to exploit him?

Re: the well: KRANTZ
What's the first thing that a somewhat "solid" but boring TAG can do to change up his game and cause headaches for his fellow TAGs at smaller stakes like .50/1 or 1/2? Is it worth doing something drastically different and at what levels does it just not make sense due to the play

[/ QUOTE ] none, really - i just wait until i hit a hand and expect him to go broke. you can give up the pfr money time and time again because someone like that will likely make incredibly HUGE mistakes postflop. it's no different from you raising, him calling, and he floats your c-bet every single time you miss. what do you do? you stop c-betting until you hit a flop. |
