2/4 K4s steals vs a TAG and an unknown, gets c/r on river
CO is 13/4/1
Button is super-tight, so I don't think this is necessarily too far out to steal. BB is unknown. PokerRoom 2/4 Hold'em (10 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums) Preflop: Hero is MP3 with K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 4[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. <font color="#666666">5 folds</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Hero raises</font>, CO calls, <font color="#666666">2 folds</font>, BB calls. I'm quite certain CO has me beat here, but I have to call getting 11:1 on a 4 out draw (3 fours and a BD flush). Re: 2/4 K4s steals vs a TAG and an unknown, gets c/r on river
I call but it seems close to a 3bet. I can't see CO winning this ever. BB probably has either a straight or some BS 2pair, all of which except K6 lose to you.

I think it looks great... right up until the part where BB makes his oesd with T7. I would just call here on the river, 3 betting would seem to be spew.
I don't mind the attempted steal (though I doubt I'd do it myself) and I think you played the hand well on streets. |

what about bet/3betting the turn?

That's a reasonable approach, but I don't like it here because:
-With CO's aggression he might get scared and just call with AK -c/ring keeps BB from being faced with 2 cold making it easier to trap him |

Re: 2/4 K4s steals vs a TAG and an unknown, gets c/r on river
Is our hand really that good that we want to be concerned with trapping people?
On the river I think calling is better than 3betting simply because CO might sigh and throw in one more bet with his TPTK (though it would help to know if he is a weak tight showdown monkey or a weak tight folder) |

Re: 2/4 K4s steals vs a TAG and an unknown, gets c/r on river
Well, if the board pairs and it's not a K or 4 then we almost always lose to CO, so I'm really not concerned with hand protection if BB flopped a piece of the board. If BB has an OESD then we just try to get in as many bets as possible (unless the action is such that we start to get scared someone flopped a set). That leaves gutshots and I would definitely have BB call twice than fold for two cold if that's what he has.

Re: 2/4 K4s steals vs a TAG and an unknown, gets c/r on river
yeah wasn't thinking clearly-the only thing we want to fold is OESD and that's not happening if its two to BB anyway

Re: 2/4 K4s steals vs a TAG and an unknown, gets c/r on river
I let the timer run almost all the way down and called (he showed T7). I was definately not worried about CO here, but I hate myself for calling BB's c/r. How often do we really beat him here? After he c/r's with a caller behind me, I'm really worried. I instacall heads up.
