Default My friend now owes me $64, and it feels great!

I share a bankroll with a friend for various reasons and had the standard ups and downs until from 7/20 to 8/28, I went on a 75k downswing, getting to the point where I owed him just over 72k. With my wife about to give birth to our 3rd child, wanting to take 6 months off after, and us looking at homes in Northern Phoenix, it was about the worst timing possible. I was at the end of my rope, as were my wife and friend, who wondered how long he should let it go. He considered cutting me off, but after going over HH's with me figured I wasn't playing bad, just kinda scared because of all the beats, ( also one ill-advised -20k 25-50 HU session). The fact that I was only getting ~4 hours sleep a day with waking up with the kids and my wife having pregnancy complications of course made matters that much worse.

So I dropped levels and started grinding my ass off mostly 8-tabling 2-4 and sometimes 3-6, working my way back up as my confidence grew, and also being far more selective about my games. When the bigger games looked juicy, I took my shots, with mostly good results, (best being making 21PTBB/100 in ~ 2700 hands of 10-20 HU). Tonight, I made $3950, which put me over the top by $64. Actually, after rakeback is included, he owes me ~3k. That bastard better pay me!

Graph of just the hold'em hands, I had decent wins in SNG's, Omaha and stud too.

After the 75k downswing it was basically a stake?

Yeah, it's a semi-convoluted story, and "sharing a bankroll" is a simplistic way of explaining it.
