Table games are about to open up here (WV area) for the first time in September. I have never played in a casino before, and was all set to buy Angel Largay's book about small stakes live no limiit. But pretty much everybody in the world told me to wait for this book to come out. But, it just doesn't seem like it is geared towards me and what I want to accomplish...So I am waiting for reviews to see one way or the other.

Not sure what the problem is. You'll be winning and losing $200 buy-ins (or more), and you're hemming and hawing over an $18 book? Just buy them both! (on Amazon Flynn/Mehta is 20 bucks, Largay is available for 14 bucks used.)

Hey Matt, Congratulations on the completion of your project. Good luck with the sales ( ordered mine ages ago, of course). I bought Angel's book pretty much in the dark because yours seemed so far off. I got some good out of it.

I'm not trying to put you on the spot or ask for a review or anything. Besides Angel's handling of player types and game types, what do you view as the strongest points of Angel's book?

I really like Angel's book but for some reason, I don't retain any of it. I can't tell you one thing from the book other than he talks a lot about playing the other player.

I have read it at least three times.

Do you realize there are millions of poker players and only a thousands (guessing here) will read the book and maybe half of them will change their game much based on it?

Think about if it would be tougher to make money in the stock market just because some investment book came out.

I'd estimate that of the players that read it about 25% will improve, half won't, and the other quarter will misapply the concepts and possibly play worse so games won't change much.
