Default a simple question

No rhetorical tricks, no semantical lawyering. Just a simple question about your personal preferences.

Why would anyone want to discuss whether or not pot is illegal? Isn't that obvious? I voted for the 2nd. I would like to see a discussion on the merits of legalization v. decriminalization.

There's a third option - not discussing the topic at all...or at least not in half of the threads and especially not in threads unrelated to the legality of pot. That's what I would prefer.

Clever poll though. I'm not sure if it's a red herring or a strawman or what you'd call it, but well done

I agree. I was saddened to have to ask the question, since I thought the answer should be obvious, but discussions in other threads have alerted me to the fact that some people are more interested in "discussion" of the actual *facts* of the status quo and don't want to be bothered *thinking* about any consequences, ramifications, moral implications, etc.
