Cole, I think you played the hand well. That's a great board for him to slowplay a monster like a set/straight. This coupled with the fact that he could easily have floated you with a KQish type hand and is now valueing betting make it a fold on the river

he can't really ever float the turn profitably cuz he isn't deep enough to try and bluff raise the river if you decide to lead and take the play away from him.

Yep. The only question is whether your opponent is as smart as rbk.

I think it all fall down to how wide do you think his range is after a call on the flop AND specialy a call on the Turn. his range is pretty large after calling the flop, does it stay the same after the turn or it gets realy tight ??

I'm with rbk on this one and you probably have to fold.

cole, what are you doing on the turn if he shoves over? i think this greatly dictates how good your turn bet is and how you should play the river.

hey sorry I didn't get back to this hand, had some friends in town and been busy

[ QUOTE ]
The problem with not betting the turn is that you pretty much have to fold to a bet and from my experience with Uri he peels/floats a ton. I guess you can c/c but I'm not sure how profitable that line is...

I kinda like a turn CRai, I don't think he has a hand that can call very often at all..

[/ QUOTE ]

Yea like Sean said all the turn options suck and I don't think betting is thattt bad so I led. If I checked I'd have to c/f.

I really don't like CRAI though I think with the HU coldcall on the flop you're gonna run into a monster too often. And, on this turn I think he doesn't have to be thattt strong to look you up.

he peels the flop really liberally but with these stacks I don't think he's going to peel the turn without a good made hand, an OK made hand + some draw, or a strong draw. Unlikely he'd show up with a naked gutshot or something though. My line is pretty strong and I haven't been out of line this session.
