Default Games at Aust B&Ms

I was asked these question by PM in response to a thread in OOT. Thought it might be useful here for someone else.

This relates to the games spread in Melbourne, Australia (Crown Casino) and Sydney, Australia (Star City Casino).

[ QUOTE ]

What games are spread in Melbourne/Sydney?

[/ QUOTE ]

In Melbourne, there's:

No Limit (10 max unless noted)
1/1 6-Max ($50 buy-in; $2 rake per flop +10% up to $6) - 6pm - late
1/2 ($60 buy-in; 10% rake up to $6; +$5/hour) - 12pm - 6am daily, 24 on weekends
2/3 ($100-$200 buy-in; 10% rake up to $6; +$5/hour) - Peak
2/5 ($200-$500 buy-in; 5% rake + $10 per hour - I think) - Fri + Sat peak

Limit (don't remember rake; 9-max)
4/8 - 12pm - 6am daily, 24 on weekends
6/12 - 12pm - 6am daily, 24 on weekends
10/20 - Peak
20/40 - Fri + Sat Peak

The players at 1/1 NL 6-MAx are crazy bad - they're literally skolling bourbons and beers while playing. I had one guy literally pass out drunk on Saturday night while at the table. Like, he fell on top of his few remaining chips. it was funny.

At Sydney, the games are:

5/5 NL ($200 buy-in, $1/hand/player rake)
and 5/10 Limit (75c/hand/player rake)

Others are probably there, but I haven't played there in ages.

Also is the rake structure as bad as I've heard?

[/ QUOTE ]
It is bad - but not as bad as the players at Sydney. I played some Limit - I reckon the table *AVERAGE* VPIP was about 70%.

Similarly, with No Limit - there were two guys at my table who would call any raise of up to 10bb with ANY 2 suited cards.
