Table Selection
I know I have a lot of questions today....How do you guys select tables? Do you play often enough with the same people? Watch a table for a while? Just jump in a play a few hands or whatever?

Re: Table Selection
At .02/.04 you can generally select a table that has an open seat and be alright. Unless it is the rare 2+2 table, you will find a juicy table.
I look for vpips over 30. Back in the Party days I had an upper bound on pot size (I think that is what Party showed in the lobby) but I don't any more. Basically, look for big numbers in the lobby and avoid small ones. |

Re: Table Selection
1) look for tables with 8 or 9 players
2) Look for highest percentage seeing flop and a normal hands/hour count. (If its above 60 at this level the table has probably just filled up and the % seeing flop is usually not very accurate, YMMV). 3) Select what appears to be juiciest table and continue to monitor with PT and GameTime+. 4) Repeat steps 1 through three until I have 6-8 tables open. At this level table selection is probably not that critical. At Stars sometimes you will find tables where even the fish knwo when to fold. If a lot of people are seeing flops but dropping out early I will find another table or adjust my playing style. |

Re: Table Selection
In the FAQ of this forum go near the bottom. You will see a link to the microlimits library. While many of these questions are good, they have been asked before. They will most likely already be answered in the library.
