Ok, let's say he's not a loose passive fish, and AT is not ahead of his calling range. It's either a flip or a dog.

Let's also say he's not folding pockets to a CB unless there's an Ace on board.

IOW, somewhat tight, somewhat passive, somewhat cynical.

I know this type of player, and I think they call with a lot of hands other than 22+, AJ+.

But, for argument's sake, if I had a squeaky image I would fire 2 barrels, if I have a bad image I'd fold if I knew he were that tight pre.

BTW, I almost never raise ATo UTG, and I think it's usually spew under most table conditions.

Let me ask this question too: is this ever just a complete? Or is it always raise or fold?

Based on the angle you are shooting here, raising ATo from SB>> raising ATo UTG

Depends on villain again. Against a tricky aggro villain, raise/fold, but against a LP fish or a whacko, I definitely can complete sometimes.

if you aren't open raising this in the SB ~100% of the time, you have a lot of work to do on your OOP play.

I'm raising this 100% of the time. Either we're stealing the blinds enough to make it profitable or we're ahead of his calling range.

If villain is a good TAG I am not raising here

If villian is a good tag i am raising here because i am ahead of him the majority of time and he is folding to me... if he does 3bet or call then i play cautiously

How the bb plays alters my play a lot here

[/ QUOTE ]

Ok now lets say he's a good 2p2er. What's your action now? What if he's a maniac?

While this may (or may not) be true, I hope you can see how this response doesn't help at all.
