Default November Goals!!!

In light of Wookies 12k post reflecting on his game, its time for November Goals.

1. Change my schedule to fit in at least 15 mins of poker book reading a day. This needs to be set every day for me, so I can't put it off.
2. Continue my steep learning curve for 6-max.
3. Force myself to put opponents on ranges of hands every single hand.
4. Begin trading more single hands with other players for quick advice or complete evaluation.
5. Start writing down more interesting hands for further analysis at the end of my sessions. 10 minute reviews at the end of my sessions.
6. Prepare for my March Vegas trip.
(sidenote: My old man and I are traveling to vegas to watch the nascar race. I want to be ready for a 4/8 or 5/10 game out there. I also want to help my father get ready. Since his eyesight is poor, he has trouble reading this forum. I plan on putting together a large print notebook of bookmarked posts on here.(Starting with the library) Should be good for me too.)

Stop cashing out all of my winnings so I can actually move up a limit. 90K hands at 0.5/1 is enough I think.

Bilge,

Good goals. There are allegedly some large font skins you can choose in your display preferences, but I'm not sure how much they do. Look into them. Also, printing out mmbt0ne's carpal tunnel post, which is already in PDF form for you, will be a great start.

My goals:

1. Play some poker again. Having had to take a minor hiatus from playing due to my qualifier, and then having run poorly before that (especially when I was taking a shot at bigger games), my enthusiasm for poker is way down. I logged, eh, about 500 hands of 100 NL, and that's been it lately. My goal is to play 4k hands of 100 NL.
2. Play some 10/20 6 max if I feel like it.
3. Don't play higher than 10/20 6m. My roll is dangerously low for 10/20 as is.
4. Get my damn money out of BetHold'em.
5. Consider taking a look at 200 NL.
6. Get all the work on my current project done that I need to do so I can write the paper at the start of Dec.

1. Reread SSHE
2. Post/review on 2p2 before each session
3. Analyse ALL hands I played in that went past the flop from the previous session before the new session. Post as needed.
4. List all identified problems from 1/3 above and stick it above my screen when I start my new session.
5. DO NOT multi-table!!!
6. Don't play when falling asleep.
7. play a few hands

1. Regain grasp of good FR skills after running good at 6max for a couple months (1/2). I might be trying to steal too much in FR after doing so much of it at 6max.
2. Improve my game more at 2/4 FR on Ultimate while grinding away at the $1350 in bonuses I've built up there.
3. Come away from Vegas in the black.
4. Force myself to play at least 3/6 while in Vegas.
5. Have the discipline to fold for hours if the situation dictates it.
6. If 5. fails, finally make myself leave the table, call the gf and abort that session if I can't conduct myself like a winner.
7. Have a great time in Vegas.
8. Make the final table at the Eugene Poker Club for the second consecutive time. A top five finish should get me into the Tournament of Champions in March.
9. Find a media cabinet to put below the 40" flat screen I just hung on my wall.

Ummm ... if you force yourself to play a bigger game than you're used to bad things may happen.

However ... if you can beat an online game you likely can hold your own in a 3/6 game if you select a good one.
