Does anyone see any major benefits to this over a standard low-carb month?

Some dumb people might.

Based on your posts in this thread, I am convinced you aren't as smart as you seem to think you are about nutrition. I didn't want to say that but I don't appreciate being called dumb.

Spending $500 or whatever a month to eat food out of a bag to get on the atkins bandwagon doesn't really seem like that great of an idea. Your posts here are like some some kind of infomercial.

Do you plan on committing to paying for this foodsource or making major lifestyle changes once you have hit your target weight? Without this particular diet and your disdain for exercise I would hope you have some plan for keeping the weight off.

Yeah its a 4 phase plan, only 2 of which you need to buy the food. 3 and 4 reintroduce you into healthy eating with carbs, exercise etc.

A general comment for those interested in OP's diet: diets like this are very effective if you follow them. You don't need to order the food (but if you feel like it, go ahead). Just come up with some solid protein sources (eggs, lean red meat, chicken, protein shakes) and some good fat sources and you can mimic the diet.

OP, if you do decide to do something like this again, or continue doing it, I highly recommend you hit the gym. You should be able to hold on to most if not all of your muscle mass if your protein is high enough.

Oh, and BMI is crap. I'm nearing obese on the BMI scale, and have never been in better shape my life (6'0, 215).
