300 NL: Playing Low End Straight
This hand comes from a live 1/2 NL, 300 Max game in AC. Button relatively new to the table. Only hand of note for him was laying down TT, an overpair to board, after significant turn raise. The laydown was correct as raiser had a set.
Button starts the hand with $200 behind. Three limpers to him, and he limps also on button with 3 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 4 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. The blinds complete, and 6 players see the flop ($12 in pot). Flop is 5 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 6 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 7 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], giving Button a flopped, but low end straight. Everyone checks to the cutoff, who leads for $12. Button re-raises to $36, and an EP and MP call. Both are deepstacked. The CO folds. Pot = $132. Turn is the K [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. EP nows leads out for $100. He is a decent, aggressive player. Not too tight, and not too loose. MP folds. Button has about $160 behind, but EP has him covered. Button should...? |
