I think you can make an argument for donking the flop. You cant expect UTG to bet his overcards into 3 villains so when you c/r him he will often have a better hand that yours

Besides that it looks standard to me. Preflop and turn+river (as played on flop) is a no brainer IMO

Yes.

If it was, say, the 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] river, you can think about a c/r, but I'd definitely just bet it through here.

I like the idea of donking the flop, especially if the villain is the type to raise donkbets with overcards, so we can protect our hand a bit.

i defend j8o only vs steal, but i suks on blind so maaybe i m wrong

You're not really "defending" here.

You're calling preflop because you're getting ~7.5-1. J8o is plenty good.

Well ya, the fact that it's a two gapper is good enough reason. Also, pairing your jack will win enough for you, even the 8 wins sometimes. We're getting 7.5-1!
