That RULES. Do you know who said it?

I don't. They weren't big name ESPN announcers.

It was probably either Jimmy Dykes (not sure if he has a regular ESPN gig) or Paul Page (ABC/ESPN auto racing).

I love that ESPN made Sean Salisbury cover this. His bitterness came through pretty clearly, but the best part was when he was comparing this year's class of eating "rookies" to the NFL QB Draft of 1983. I just know Ken O'Brien was sitting at home going "wtf?"

It was either George or Richard Shea, who run the IFOCE. One of them gets to be the "expert" commentator during these events.

The idea of eating 50+ hot dogs in 12 minutes and coming in second is just to depressing to think about.

Super performance. This is like Tiger winning the Masters by 12 shots when people were saying that Ernie Els and David Duval might be giving him a run for best player in the world.

They will be showing this tape for years to come to newcomers coming up in the circuit. How he adjusted to the new five second dunking rule, how he was able to stay focused even though Chestnut was right next to him and jumped out to the early lead, how he ate with the eye of a tiger and the focus of a lion chasing his prey.
