PostgreSQL installation

I cannot for the life of me get this to work. I'm using Windows XP and have gotten all kinds of error messages. Following the standard installation instructions, I get an error saying the account doesn't have the proper administrative properties to run. So, I changed the postgres user to an Admin. Then, tried again and got an error saying that WSOCK32.dll couldn't be found (although it is in my system folder).

Can anyone help me out here?
