Default The power of position

I've been playing poker for a couple of years and have finally come to understand how important position truly is in poker. Granted, one's success relies heavily on mastering all the aspects of the game. Yet, in the wonderful world of poker, the best player in the world can make all the correct moves and still come up short. In other words, poker is a game of inconsistency, or fluctuation. However, the one aspect that remains constant is position. Position should always be the primary force in the majority of decisions made. The power of position dictates what you've seen or have yet to see. Aside from the value of the cards, position dictates who has the advantage and who has the disadvantage in any hand. The power of position will even dictate the value of any hand preflop. To sum it up, I believe the power of position is the one true constant in a game of such variance. The key to success begins and ends with the power of position.
