thanks everyone,

I told him first thing this morning. He said he liked my work and that if they did anything to let him know immediately and he would take care of me. He also said it said a lot that he was hearing about it from me. So I'm glad I made the right decision.

TELL HIM NOTHING....99% of the time they are looking for felony CONVICTIONS. A traffice ticket is a misdeamenor. If they want to hire you full time, then fill out THIER application, perhaps it will be a normal one that only asks for felonies. I believe its illegal to ask for plain old arrests. GL dude.

It will not be up to the boss whether he can hire you or not, there are SEC regulations which may or may not forbid them from keeping you on. If you have bad credit and/or owe alot of money to credit cards you may also not pass background check because of the SEC again. Also, did you pass your drug test?

Grunch:

Based on your post, since you like your job, you must like your boss as well. Therefore, you have somewhat of a rapport with him.

As a result, I would tell him that you really like the job and want to continue with your position, but you're concerned about some background check going on at the temp agency. You want him to know that if anything comes up, it would be your misdemeanor. Be straightforward, and everything might work out ok. Be shady, and your boss might take that as offense.

Tell him nothing, IF it comes to light, THEN you place the blame on the temp agency who made the mistake. " i was completely forthcoming in my application with agency abc123. I am very sorry that this has come to light in this manner, but i assure you, i assumed that you were completely aware of my background. I unconditionally deny trying to hide information or mislead you or anyone for that matter."

You may have grounds for action against the temp agency.
or not.
