Default A re-steal hand

I was watching one of sheets videos and he had a similar situation come up I believe and he said it was standard. I just wanted to make sure it was here as well. The guy is a TAG. Is this an obvi shove?

I don't have PokerStove in front of me, but I think this is +EV.

I don't like shoving over the top here. I mean he raises 3x and you shove 40x over the top? Seems excessive. Villain has a 32 BB stack. I mean I guess I can see it if you think he's gonna 4bet AI with a wide range, but he doesn't need a good hand here very often to make our move less than optimal. It's probably a +EV move, and better than folding, but I'd think a normal 3bet or a call would be more profitable against most opponents.

Def agree a 3 bet, and maybe a call are in order. But shoving that much over a TAG raiser doesn't seem to be the best play here.

Then again, if you 3 bet to 21k, and villain shoves you're going to be getting ~2-1 on a call.

But again, risking 80% of your stack to increase it by 10% doesn't sound right. I'd like to see more responses on this hand.

I think villains opening range is significantly wider.

From the resteal threads ideal stack size for a resteal shove is 10-20 BBs, here you have 40 so its too much.

Your hand is too go to throw away, so I either reraise to 20000 if I think vilain is capable of folding preflop, or call and led any/most flops.

this is about the opening range for a tight player at a full table imo?!

ok as his m is about 12 maybe little wider but not significantly - maybe something like

Hand 0: 41.156% 37.35% 03.81% 299288832 30517932.00 { KQs }
Hand 1: 58.844% 55.04% 03.81% 441033576 30517932.00 { 77+, A9s+, KJs+, QJs, ATo+, KQo }

this one gets borderline

i think a reraiase is too strong a play . you are risking whole big stack on k q? it may be a +ev play but i don't like it. its a good hand id call and play flop poker.

Reraise is fine here, only reasons arguing for a call are stack sizes. A TAG is raising at least top 30% here (and you should be too.) KQs is listed in the top 5% on pokerstove. Both of your ranges are ridiculously tight. The looser one you listed second is about what I'd be opening with UTG at this table. Any player with any type of a clue on the button is opening with at least twice that many hands.
