Re: line check, KK Deepstacked vs TAG
bet/fold because you're not getting raised by worse and you find out about your hand.
Ch/fold because 4 bet call a 5 bet is AK, QQ+ and most QQ / KK will check behind this flop. Also you 5 bet sizing doesn't define your hand well enough since it is too small and he has great odds to call seeing how deep you are. Hence, as played I would bet/fold flop for 80-90 |

Re: line check, KK Deepstacked vs TAG
based on this guys stats alone he looks solid so...
i would start by NOT 5 betting... what exactly is a competent player calling that 5th raise with? and if he shoves are you happy calling it? since you got to the flop this way, just c/f - hes like never stacking off with worse here. |

Re: line check, KK Deepstacked vs TAG
ok from a slightly more macro level, you invested $175 in to this pot postflop, with 2 outs when behind.
thats why you should just be b/f or c/f this flop personally i marginally prefer c/f |

Re: line check, KK Deepstacked vs TAG
OOP I check/fold flop. I mean if you check-call you've invested money when you dont know where youre at and likely behind.
If he's got an A youve got 2 outs, so if no K comes on turn whats your plan? you cant just keep calling down. The fact your're deepstacked makes it easier to let this go IMO |

Re: line check, KK Deepstacked vs TAG
I actually think this hand isn't as bad as it looks.
It makes little sense for villain to bet the flop. If he has AK he knows that Hero either hates this flop with KK/QQ, it's a split or that Hero has AA and is lolling himself. Now hero c/c the flop. It would make sense for villain to think that Hero might be trapping villain or at the very least has Ax. So villain checks turn behind. River: Hero checks again, now it's a plausable scenario for villain to think that Hero might still have KK- and decide to take a last swing at the pot. After all, would Villain not play Ax this way on turn and river? I think it's preflop play that MIGHT justify this. If we didn't have villain's stats it would seem he is a clownish LAG. Just sayin'.. |

Re: line check, KK Deepstacked vs TAG
yeah...wtf at all the hate? Is this another typical SSNL "ZOMG, HE BET BIG, I'M NOT GONNA READ HIS HAND, I'M JUST GONNA FOLD" type thing?
AK really really rarely bets this flop IME. If we're beat, I think its by JJ. I really don't have this call given that by the river your hand is very face up |

Re: line check, KK Deepstacked vs TAG
Villan is making a 4 bet and calling a 5 bet here. What the hell should he have? It's AK, KK or AA. If you make the 5 bet not like a minbet you can put him on a range KK / AA.
I would just call the 4 bet btw. I c / f the flop cause we only split against KK here and that is highley unlikey. |

I don't think I've ever gone to a flop in a 5 bet pot so I know I can't even begin to conclude what villain could have here but it sure looks like kings are no good. True Ak rarely bets this flop here but villain turning qq into a bluff or showing up with ten high is even less likely imo. |
