I don't think it's odd that two balls are in play at the same time.

We did that thread a couple of months ago. Hopefully we don't need to rehash it.

As far as the op's situation i wouldn't give a penalty stroke but i'm not sure what the proper ruling is.

Good point, I can only imagine the flame war that could break out if we furthered this topic.

The player whose ball was struck has the option to either take the spot where the ball ended after being struck or take the original spot before the ball was struck.

The player who strikes the shot must take the result of the shot.

Perfect.

Yeah this sounds great.

And wtf at no two balls in play at the same time. It's less fun that way. A friend and I play a lot when we get together and we take it pretty seriously, but we never go one at a time. We both take our first shot, unless the first shooter leaves himself a really close gimme. If the second shooter's ball looks like it might collide with the other, sometimes we'll just let it happen, sometimes we'll pick the resting ball up and put it back in the same spot.

After each person takes their first putt, then we stop alternating shots for that hole. It's putt 'til your done.

I don't think it's odd that two balls are in play at the same time. In fact that's the only way I've ever played. Going one at a time while everyone else stands around and watches seems weird to me.

Also, penalizing someone seems a bit much. It's mini golf. seke's ruling is fine.

I have always played one person at a time, but my brother used to play mini golf professionally and I always took my lead from him.

Worse than sitting, squatting or standing to wipe?

What color ball did he choose when you played? I usually go with a red one, but I'd be interested in the views of a putt putt professional. Thanks.

2 balls in play. Player A hits his ball into player B's ball. Player B's ball leaves the course. Penalty stroke or no penalty stroke?

[/ QUOTE ]

No penalty stroke

How do you NOT have two or more balls in play at most times? What do you do, have one player play through the hole while the others wait?
