Popular Dance Music - Need Suggestions

I've kind of neglected this side of my music collection and now I want to catch up. I'm just wondering what singles I should get or if you think an album is good enough, I'll consider it too. I'm talking about stuff like Shakira's "Hips Don't Lie" or Rihanna's "SOS". I see music request threads all the time, but I can't anybody asking for stuff like this.

List anything, even the obvious.

are you trying to make a playlist for a party or something? I don't see any other reason you'd want music like this to "expand your collection." But if your serious, it sounds like your looking for standard top 40 type pop music. Turn on yahoo launchcast and listen to the top 40 type channels from the last 10 years and find songs you like.

Well, yeah...I'm just trying to get songs for more dance-type parties. I mean, I say expanding my collection because I neglect pop singles and I think it'd be much easier to make playlists for these types of things if I had a, you know, larger collection of songs. I'll check out launchcast.

Pandora.com is another good music finder. For college type parties, you'll probably need a lot of mainsteam hip hop. Plug in the black eyed peas or pharrell. It bugs the hell out of me, but the girls like it, so there you are.
