Urban Dictionary affords us the exciting possibility of seeing standard English usage taking shape. What headier thrill for any linguist than being present at the formation of words?
Witness the scholarly contentiousness of the abecedarians on Urban Dictionary regarding the meaning of the term, 'Hot Carl'. Most entries begin with the phrase "You are all wrong"! They then continue on to illuminate the finer points of their interpretation of meaning. Ahhhh scholarship!
