In the 2001 Omaha H/L, Scotty and Phil are headsup for the bracelet, after Phil wins a small pot, Scotty says "Oh no, if I lose to Phil Hellmuth, I won't be able to go home and face my kids." [/ QUOTE ] awesome |

Re: Best televised table-talk dis
[ QUOTE ]
My favorite is from the 2004 TOC where Lederer bets on the river, Hellmuth mutters for awhile and finally folds. Hellmuth then says something about seeing the hand on the ESPN broadcast. Lederer says "Don't worry Phil, they'll definitely show that hand," insinuating that he had just pulled off a huge bluff (he wasn't bluffing). So subtle yet still so effective. [/ QUOTE ] I wanted to punch Annie Duke in the face so bad when she was laughing during all of this. |
