this book is second only to Hellmuth's Play Poker Like the Pros for title of "Book Most Likely to Make you Suck Worse than You Already Do".

I remember reading this book from many years ago. IIRC wasn't there some chapter in the back with tables dedicated to bad-beat jackpots? I guess that was worth some value.

Anyhow, seems when Warren's name comes up here, there's always some negativity applied to it.

I like this part the best. First of all, it sounds like it was written by a 3rd grader and the puctuation is incorrect. Plus, I didn't know about this practice of poker rooms asking players not to play in their tournaments.

Isn't Ken Warren the guy who wrote somewhere that it's better to have AKo than AKs PF, because AKo can make two flushes instead of one?

I am pretty sure he was the first to write a really bad book on hold'em (Winners Guide to Texas Hold'em, 1997). That's got to be worth something.

I made the mistake of buying Ken Warren Teaches THE. Amazing how bad his book was. "Warren has been asked by several Las Vegas poker rooms to skip their tournaments..." out of sympathy probably.

We're going to have to ask you to play in poker tourneys elsewhere from now on if you wouldn't mind. The advice contained in your book just gives you too tremendous an edge over our regulars. Wow I'm so glad I spotted this thread. Ken Warrens book was the first I read and when my friend wanted to learn I thought it would be a good place for him to start. Before I lent it to him I had a quick scan through it. I thought WTF? Half the [censored] in there doesn't make any sense at all!
