Default 33 - bottom set, super coordinated board, DEEEEEP.

villain is donkish. hes been way too loose both pre and postflop. has a general idea of the game and understands basic handstrengths relative to the board, but gets himself into tons of bad spots becasue he plays so many maraginal hands adn tends to be a station.
hes at 52/26 over ~200 hands.

The only big pot we played together went as follows:
i raise AQs in MP, shorstacked Btn calls, villain 3bets KK in BB, i call, and shortstack calls all in with the rest of his 16bb stack
flop AJ8ddd monotone - villain checks, i overbet shove $86 into a $50 pot, and villain calls, rivering a flush

i had been 24/20ish, raising a ton and villain is irritated with my raises. we've been playing lots of pots together recently after the chat following the above hand got heated.

The villain is not a thinking player. But I mean, if you raise the river and he shoves what do you do? I don't think he would shove with a worst hand. But even bad players usually seem to grasp the concept that they are not getting raised on the river a whole lot 200BB's deep unless they're up against a real hand. Even if they were thinking, they'd know that with their calling station image you would think they would call and only raise boats.

I guess it comes down to the basic concept: Do you beat more than 50% of the hands he is calling a raise with on the river?

He prices you in to call the turn for sure. Definitely possible he has an overboat but sometimes there's not much you can do. I think I would just call his rivet bet.

He bets pretty close to pot which donks generally do with monsters. The board pairing would have to scare him a little if he had a straight.

So yeh just call the river imo. Tough spot.

Raise to 150 and puke/call when he shoves because he's probably shoving any 4.
