Default $27 Misplayed 88

Hi,

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t30 (8 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums)

Hero (t1735)
CO (t1445)
Button (t2995)
SB (t1510)
BB (t1460)
UTG (t1500)
UTG+1 (t1300)
MP1 (t1555)

Preflop: Hero is MP2 with 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img].
UTG calls t30, 2 folds, Hero calls t30, 1 fold, Button calls t30, SB completes, BB raises to t150, UTG calls t120, Hero calls t120, Button calls t120, SB folds.

Flop: (t630) 4[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (4 players)
BB bets t210, UTG folds, Hero calls t210, Button calls t210.

Turn: (t1260) A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (3 players)
BB checks, Hero checks, Button bets t420, BB folds, Hero folds.

Final Pot: t1260

I feel bad about this hand.
BB raiser is a regular, I think he is good 13/8 stats 9-7 handed.
Button is an unknown 30/20 after a few hands.

Preflop is a fold with 2 players behind, right ? Maybe even without the limpers ?

On the flop, I think he bets his entire preflop range or really close to it but the call is probably still bad with button to act behind.

Only turn seems ok to me.

What to you think ?

I'd let it go on the flop.

Can you explain? My reasoning behind calling would be 2 callers already 1 more likely and a somewhat healthy stack to make the call. If the 8 hits youre going to get paid off. Why is this an easy fold pf?

PF seems close and on the flop I fold all the time esp if he's that tight he's probably not raising AQ from the BB after the limpers.

Preflop I'd call with UTG's limp/call, but I'd kick myself if one of the players still to act re-raised.

It seems like a clear fold on the flop with three opps seeing the flop.

I let it go on the flop.

That said I think pf is really close, your getting around 4-1 on the call and will flop it 1 in 8. But this is for set value only?!!!!!!! unless the flop comes 567 I'm tossing this flop with no set.

The pf I think is more + chip ev than T EV but this is marginal. I only have problem with the flop.

after limping, i happily call that preflop raise with your stack of 1735. button and sb are going to reraise/push preflop about never. assuming one of them call another 120, you are getting really good odds on your set. plus with the pot being so big and so many opponents, you will stack someone just about ever time you hit a set and sometimes you will stack two opponents if the board is right.

just check/fold flop. the preflop raiser is c-betting into 3 opponents, he will have an overpair a lot plus you still have button to deal with.
