First of all I would like to say thanks for the good post, pokey. Secondly, why aren't these questions discussed?

Being a limit player, your range sounds like something I would steal with. However, as far as I know different hands are valueable in NL, and Isuras reaction seems to imply the same.

Would anyone care to elaborate? What kind of hands would you steal with?

Something like T7s or T9o has more "Big hand" potential than K5o or Q4o. Big hands are 2pr+ IMO. K5 or Q4 makes a strong TP (ks or Qs) a lot, but thats not enough for a big NL pot. Its good for a decent pot in limit though.

But if you make a straight or flush with the T7s, you have enough hand strength to win a big pot. There is a section in NLTAP about this- AI preflop equity doesnt necessarily make a strong Nl starting hand. Hence T7s > K5o.

Just trying to figure out a profitable solution to blind stealing:

Pokey is trying to steal the blinds 38.31% of the time.
He is risking 4BB to win 1.5BB.
Suppose Pokery is in CO and i'm the big blind and I know he is attacking the blinds 38.31% of the time(e.g from PT).
He has just raised 4BB from CO and the small blind folds.
I'm going to re-raise him 12.5BB with a range of hands so I'm going to risk 12.5BB to win 5.5BB (4 BB from Pokey and 1.5BB from the blinds).

In order to be profitable he must fold to my re-raise X% of the time:
5.5x>(1-x)12.5 =>
x>0.69

This means I can re-raise him with top 31% (100-69) of his blind stealing range (38.31%).
31% of 38.31% means 11.78%

I believe that being OOP is an advantage here because if he corectly calls me with my re-raising range I'm going to c-bet him. Most of the time after the flop he will be there with an unimproved hand or third(second) pair and he is likely to fold.

The fact that I'm going to c-bet him if he calls me means I should re-raise him with more than 11.78% top hands....maybe even 15% here.
