Default Flopped set...how to get max value in this position?

I usually put a pot size bet out if I hit a set on the flop---to build the pot and make draws expensive. But this was a dry flop.

Since I'm first to act:

Do I bet strong here and reveal the strength of my hand?
Make a weak bet and hope to get reraised?
Or check/call and open up the betting on the turn?

First to act in an unraised pot I'm betting to build a pot. I'd probably lead for half the pot or so, $0.30 or $0.40, whatever is going to get lots of calls. Having many players in the pot just adds extra value for me. If someone raises, I'll be happy to either call and donkbet the turn (if the bet was from my direct right) or three-bet solidly if I'm heads-up or if I have good relative position on my opponent. In other words, I don't want to scare people off, and I want to get as much cash in the middle as I possibly can -- as quickly as I can.

Sweet lord, NO! If the turn comes with a 4 I'm bummed, because someone MUST have an ace, here. With a 6 or ace on the turn I'm less worried, though still vaguely unhappy, since 4s are certainly possible in someone's hand. However, I've still got another street, and if the board pairs I'm going to stack my opponent with his stupid little straight. So, if the turn card is particularly ugly I'm going for pot control with the hopes of hitting my gin card on the river. So long as the pot is offering me about 3.5-to-1 implied odds that's a profitable call, and I'm going to get that most of the time so long as we've still got some cash behind.

Just a note here. Betting strong does not reveal your strength. You will see calls from top pair, draws, and probably even raises from overpairs. There are lots of opponents, someone is probably going to call a pot sized bet, so make one.

I vote for betting. With this many players to act after you, you may even get raised. At these limits many players often expect a set to check the flop, so sometimes betting out with a set on the flop actually disguises the strength of your hand. And if everyone folds you probably weren't going to make money on the hand anyway.
