$25NL QQ 3bet pot.
villain is 22/10 over 2k.
how is my play? Should we check behind and evaluate the turn? I don't mind the way you played it. Probably would have done the same.

Re: $25NL QQ 3bet pot.
I'm just asking... but the idea behind checking behind and evaluating the turn is to keep the pot small??? I think that we define our villains hand and get as the most value we can out of it by betting the flop. Def. shove the turn.

Re: $25NL QQ 3bet pot.
I suppose I don't understand shoving the turn?
What range of hand can you put this opponent on at this point? Is likely to call you down the whole way with a J? The board isn't exactly draw heavy on the flop or the turn. The only hand that is likely to call your shove on the turn is one that beats you.. JJ+ or X7. There may be a chance that the villain is going to call with a J but if he just has a J then you might make more money by milking it unless you expect him to call your all in with his J. |

Re: $25NL QQ 3bet pot.
I think shoving the turn is -EV against a 22/10 that called your 3-bet and raise on the flop.
If he's raising 10% PF, he's probably calling tighter than that on your 3-bet. If we weren't sure this is the case I think we can pretty much tighten his range after he called your flop bet. If he calls your turn bet you are beat so I vote for pot control. Stu |

Re: $25NL QQ 3bet pot.
I'd check behind on the turn hoping to not put any more money into this pot

Re: $25NL QQ 3bet pot.
Do not like the turn shove...You are behind villain range if you get called..If we are ahead villain has between 2 and 5 out...

Re: $25NL QQ 3bet pot.
I don't think villain would play AA/KK like this, maybe JJ but I think he shows up with AK enough to make this a profitable shove..
