Basic Calldown?
BB is 26/12/1.3, nothing out of the ordinary. He's been whining about running bad but I haven't seen him tilt. I've raised him preflop in a gazillion blind battles and won lots. His range to raise from the blind multi-way is obviously limited?

Not that it would be wrong to do so but its not a mistake. I would give this up on the turn. You don't have odds to continue and you are behind too often |

Re: Basic Calldown?
I think that we need to call the turn. we picked up a gutshot and we still beat some Ax hands that will likely check behind UI on the river

Only thing I don't like is the rivercall. [/ QUOTE ] Which is exactly where I've been going wrong in this situation lately. I manage to convince myself to call the river when I find a reason to call the turn, which seems bad at pretty much every point in time other than when my cursor is tracking toward the call button. Not to self: stop being dumb. You make more than enough mistakes out of ignorance to actively manufacture more. Sorry. Private moment. Move along. Nothing to see here. |

Re: Basic Calldown?
I cap preflop.
I think I cap a lot lighter than most (mostly in position, but most players don't pay attention to that part). I think I can cap AK here though. |

Re: Basic Calldown?
readless, I play this the same.
The river is the only tough spot to play. Calling or folding just depends on the opponent. and seriously, who folds the turn here, we have 4 outs to the nuts, and if these are 4 outs to a chop, we have the best hand, and if we are losing, we have 10 outs most of the time. c/f the turn is retarded. |
