Perhaps then you need to revise the El Diablo Rule, that says if you can beat AA then you have a call in any spot. But having to beat top set all the time might be going to far. So what about your rule being revised to give a random weighting so that if top pair is spades, then you use the tighter beat top set standard, but otherwise use the beat AA one?

I've seen people push all in on flop for 500+ BB's three times live (open push retardily). All 3 times I've seen top set.....but if I was you, I still would have called.
