Re: WSOPC Lake Tahoe
What type of blind structures do they have for the daily super satellites and single table? Are they 20 minute blind levels? What about the prelim events?
Looking to make my first trip up there after not being able to make it the last couple of years. I wish they would post some information on the structures online. |

Re: WSOPC Lake Tahoe
I'm driving up from the Bay area tomorrow morning, playing the $330, the $550 NL on Tues., and either the $1060 or the $550 on Wedn. + the supersats on Thur. for the main. I'll prob either be wearing a black zip-up sweater and/or a Florida (Gators) jacket.

Re: WSOPC Lake Tahoe
It snowed last night. Luckily the road was wet but not icy this morning on my way back. My car hates slippery pavement, so it tries to leave it at the first opportunity.
I played in Friday's $340 and Saturday's $550. Friday's $340: Shockingly popular, at 484 entries vs last year's 262. Work crews cut something they shouldn't have an hour before the start, cutting the power, and crashing the registration system. Manually processing entries caused a line that reminded me of WSOP Vegas, although in proportion. To their credit, they got it quickly fixed, and the start time was delayed only 90 minutes to 1:30 pm. They had 4 tables of alternates(!). It never occurred to me they might fill up, considering last year's turnout. I got my lucky hands early, pocket aces and pocket 10's, winning t75 both times. Whoopee. I ran through a dead period, got a suckout or two, lasted through the dinner break into level 5 with an M of about 5, when I probably took a chance I shouldn't have and went out about 150th. Saturday's $550: Right at 400 entries for a $200k prize pool. Played an early hand like an idiot and dropped about t1500, which is rough on a starting stack of t4000. Made a bonehead play when I still had an M of about 9 and went out around 300th. I'd been really card dead except for an A 10 I got, which was raised big UTG and I had to dump it. He showed A K. Satellite action is hot and heavy and ran well past midnight both nights that I played them. They are running mega's and second chance MTT's for $200 in the evening. They were running sat's as low as $35 and $45, and although it seems dumb to run sats that pay $200 lammers, take note you can use those lammers to enter the second chance tournies and mega sats. Plenty of live action too, up to 5/10 NL. I was running so bad at 2/3 NL that I tried 3/6 LHE just to change things up. We all like loose play, but this was so loose, it made you want to blow your head off. I'd flop 2nd pair, the turn would get bet, raised, re-raised, same with the river, only to see high card ace was winner. I don't know how you play in a game like that unless you call any pair down to the river. |
