Question about Turn bet ($200 NL)
Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $ BB (6 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums)
BB ($218.55) UTG ($73) MP ($87.55) CO ($530.86) Hero ($186.20) SB ($215.55) Preflop: Hero is Button with Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. SB posts a blind of $1. 1 fold, MP calls $2, 1 fold, Hero raises to $10, 1 fold, BB calls $8, MP folds. Flop: ($23) 4[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 players) BB bets $2, Hero raises to $20, BB calls $18. Turn: ($63) J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players) BB checks, Hero bets $50. Final Pot: $113 My thoughts when I made this bet were: 1) I want to build a pot 2) I was thinking AK or AJ as very likely hands who would probably pay me off all the way. (Equally I didn't want to see a Ten or King hit the river too much =]) However, thinking after the hand I'm thinking 30-35 would've been a much better bet and I'm not just being results orientated. The point here is that if he does indeed have AK or AJ here he's likely to raise a 30-35 bet thinking maybe I have AT or KK or something similar, equally the villain doesn't have many outs. A friend of mine was saying 40 looks good but I don't like that bet because 90% of the time in my opinion someone who calls 40 here calls 50. Anyway just trying to analyse my play a little more. EDIT- No PT or PA on this computer and didn't have any strong reads on villain - he hasn't been out of line though. Limped more than I agree with though. |
