Random question for Dave or anyone else who has purchased a table from the IronMan store....

Will you ever be picked up for missing too many rounds of blinds at your own table? The reason I ask is because I like to have as much money on the table as possible, and if you never will get picked up from you own table then I'll just get my own table, never take money off of it, eventually run it up to an amount that no person would be able to suprass in one session, never sign off, and always have the table covered. To me this would be worth the IronMan store points. But if you can't do this I'll probably just take the cash bonus.

Assani-
I personally have never seen anyone's chips picked up @ FT,
and usually they won't pick 'em up @ a short table [i.e., the sharks laying in wait @ the stud HU tables]. My guess is that they probably have to during weekly system restart.
Best to ask FT support [ and wait forever for a response ].
IMHO--take the cash.

spike420211,

Thank you for the reply. I always do appriciate your willingness to help out. However, I must disagree here- if others are playing at the table then you will most definitely get picked up if you miss too many blinds even if the table is shorthanded and theres no wait of any kind. I'm sure of this. What I'm wondering is if this changes if its your table with a reserved seat always there for you. Any insight into this would be greatly appriciated.

Love,
Assani

good question, i know i've experienced this before, but i can't recall with 100% certainty. i do believe that you never get picked up... unless your lose your connection. email support for the bottom line, but i think that's it.

not sure if your goal is totally practical. it's a little intimdating when other good players at your table are super-deep also, i had 7 buy-ins at the $5/$10 table the other night and wasn't fully comfortable with that.

Dave,

Thanks a ton for your reply. Its helpful guys like you that keep this forum up and running strongly each day. I actually did see you with $7000+ the other day at one point. There was one other guy with $3500 or so, and yeah since we're usually only playing for around $1000 max per hand I could see why that'd be a bit intimidating. However, I actually think I think that the added equity of having $2000+ when a bad player doubles up will make up for those times when a really good player gets deep. And its not like I'm going to easily stack of 200BBs(although I did drop 2 quick buy ins tonight at 5/10 6 max NL).

Yeah I'll probably email support first to make sure. I just don't like the max buy in rules on the internet. Best wishes.

Love,
Assani

its quite simple, there aren't going to be any if people aren't willing to play heads-up and be patient for others to come.

in other news, the archives are finally back up and working
