in the end i dont think it matters very much, and these situations are extremely time-intensive to analyze, and the analysis usually ends up based on layers of assumptions.

With 4 others in, I'd check raise this. This is the kind of board where people with a piece of (i.e a 7 or ten) it will call a flop bet. Trap them for an extra two. This is a good spot to bloat the pot. Man, wouldn't 8d be sweet....

Yeah but if you have the flush draw and someone else has one piece of the board, then who is betting?

I think this is a good semi-bluff trap hand. I'd bet this flop and CR turn if an 8 or a diamond fell.

Betting out has the best chance of getting called in multiple spots, which is awesome when you smack the 8 or [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]
