Non Poker books that can help Your Poker Game?

What about some books on increasing your focus? I think those would be very helpful.

My math side is pretty good but maybe my people/ empathy side could do with improving e.g. I find it very difficult to understand why any one would play a -EV game like craps yet apparently I believe plenty of poker players - even very good poker players do so.

Maybe psychology , self help or even novels which help develop understanding of others motivations.

No specific title, but I've been thinking about reviewing a statistics textbook. I took stats in high school (1970s), and college (1980s) but it's pretty rusty.

Classic novels:

Stefan Zweig "Twenty-four Hours in the Life of a
Woman"

Dostoevsky "The Gambler"

Don't get me wrong, it will certainly not help your game. It's beyond that. But I think every serious player, gambler, should read those books.

I like it. It's a quick, easy read that can help much with the mental side of the game. There is a little bit of bad advice in it but the majority of the book is good.

Blink is good for helping you understand factors that affect your decision making process.

There are some very interesting tidbits in Fooled by Randomness. The tough part is getting through the portions of the text where Taleb is just stroking himself.
