[/ QUOTE ] the idea is that there is an increasing punishment scale. ================ temp ban longer temp ban ... longest temp ban permaban ban on sight/ip ban ================ so a permaban is something like "sorry, your account is done, you've lost it, you can start a new one if you like, and that's fine." a ban on sight person means "if it is discovered that you are posting on this board again, whatever account it is you are posting on will be removed." ip ban is obvious. since it's an increasing scale, you have to have screwed up pretty bad to et to ban on sight, which is what dan is at the moment. basically you have to have gotten permabanned, then made a new account for the sole purpose of doing the same thing again, and often several times. think "clean slate." also think about how hypocritical it would be to let him have his account back when the punishment for what he did is "you lose that account."
