Isura,

we'll have to agree to disagree then. I'm WAY ahead of his flop cbetting range, and the average 200nl TAG doesnt 2 barrel nearly enough to make me fold the best hand on the turn very often

[/ QUOTE ]

I actually think that c-betting this flop in villains spot with a wide range is quite bad. But villains are often bad, so I dunno about this player.

Dan, if someone else posted this hand, would you honestly say, "nice hand?"

I agree with SABR. Don't see why I should pitch it preflop. On the flop I probably C/F, sometimes C/R. I hate both leading out and C/C here.

The reason that I like calling the river, is that i think he is either bluffing a worse hand, or vb A or K spades. You'll find that most don't bluff or vb 8s8x here, as he has showdown value. I also think a set or higher 2pair is very unlikely from his line, and again will check behind river a lot.

However, this is such a good board to bluff. Look at my line. Look how weak I look. A TAG here will bluff a HUGE range of hands.

I don't remember his exact hand, but I remember he had no pair and I remember that I won

This was basically what I was thinking. I had 9cTd

reraise or fold PF. fold flop. fold river. so easy.

[/ QUOTE ]

why are there so many responses after this one?

[/ QUOTE ]

b/c its wrong?

[/ QUOTE ]

if you say so, Dan. Bottom line, you shouldn't have gotten in this spot in this first place.

[/ QUOTE ]
Why not? SB being a CS I call this pf all day.

[/ QUOTE ]

the thing is that most calling stations will call a pfr with a pretty marginal hand, but they're not going to call a reraise too. and if they do, you've got position with a sc in a rr'ed pot, not the worst possible spot.

i think the timing tell is the only thing that sways this anywhere in the direction of a call. even then not so much.

i really dont think hands like this are even analysable in a vaccuum, its too frequency dependent. the results could be either way and you really have no idea if it was a good call or not.

i squeeze here... a lot.

any specific reason why not, or just didn't feel like it this time?

[/ QUOTE ]

Lik I said a bit further up, SB was a calling station

[/ QUOTE ]

the fact that he is a station makes a squeeze more attractive to me, not less.

the perfect squeeze situation is here... loose raiser in late position... fish calls... we even have position on the fish.

Isura,

I agree that betting flop with a wide range is bad and is actually a leak. But since his cbet % was 100%, I was willing to gamble that he had that leak.

grunch,

yeah, i would. I remmber a few days after this rot called in a very similar situation on the river (2 high flush) and i said i liked it.

luckboxer,

ul man. Your line would've worked vs most ppl here, but I'm obv too much of a calling station

tbd,

I must admit, the timing tell was one of the big reasons I called. I think if he had As he would have bet it pretty quickly.

ikestoys,

rr might well be +EV, however, he's most likely going to call preflop and then we are building a very big pot with 7 high vs a calling station...not great IMO, when if we call, we have perfect reletive position, a smallish pot, and a nice hand

I quite like this hand, although i play it slightly different. Given hes pretty tight and aggro, why not take a limit line and call the flop and lead the turn. If you do this with a good enough range and mix up your play enough on the turn your going to put him in so many difficult situations that he'll just spot stealing your blinds.
