yea - i bet the river to get value out of whatever was calling on flop and turn 88, TT, QQ i guess.

i mean i can't check trips behind there. Bet size should be bigger to make it look like a bluff/get more value and to discourage c/r with air. I was treating him like a typical 200nl donk by making that small river bet.

Funny thing is as i made the river bet i was like: if i get c/r allin here im so ******

Isn't the river bet a bit small? It is just asking for a reraise imho ..

I've been thinking this way too much lately in my playing. Instead of making the value bet, I'm betting huge or just pushing so it looks like a bluff and so I don't get c/raised. This is poor thinking thought IMO. I don't think you should be betting at all if your scared of a c/raise and pushing just allows villian to play perfectly if he's a thinking player.

I almost never see bluff raises on rivers like this at $200nl vs. TAGish players. Maniacs maybe, but then it's an easy call.
