Re: Who\'s going to be the biggest loser in HSP S3 do you think ?
[ QUOTE ]
Matussow and Negreanu are the two weakest players in my opinion. [/ QUOTE ] Putting all nonsense aside, Matusow and Negreanu are simply brilliant when it comes to hand reading, and I doubt there are many players out there who can match them in this. This must account at least for something in poker I only watched ep 1 so far... but where did they find these Gold, Shiek and Alie characters?! I can go to any local casino and find better players there. |

lol matussow is so ridiculous. just wondering who told him it might be a good idea to play poker for tv while being on coke or some other stuff. thats at least the way he seemed to me. and when it come to poker: shoving 100k with ace high on a very drawy board into a like 20k pot gotta be world class huh?

Maybe Negreanu is good, but he hasnt shown much of that on HSP. Just playing every hand, paying off to every suckout and calling huge raises preflop like 20-70BBs with crap like 23s, Q-high or small pockets.

[ QUOTE ] Pretty stupid to make a guess when the sample size for the average player is going to be like 150 hands. [/ QUOTE ] I bet it is less than that. I think I played ~190 hands and I was on for 12 hours. Play was so slow as there were numerous tape changes and dealers had to wait for the producer to give the okay to deal the next card. I bet average hands per person is around 100. Just for comparison if I am 4-tabling online I can get 200 hands in 1/2 an hour. [/ QUOTE ] ok ok we get it, you were on HSP. I think you can stop with the thinly veiled brag posts now. |

i'm surprised nobody's nominated Eli Elezra yet. in both seasons 1 and 2 he came across as a total loose calling station, just gambling with weak holdings a lot of the time. maybe he's a big winner in the big game at the bellagio, so maybe it was all camouflage or something, but he just seemed like a terrible player.

This must account at least for something in poker [/ QUOTE ] Once again, player reading skill is over-empahsized without consideration for reaction skill. Negreanu has taken a turn for the worse recently and Matusow is notoriously bad at not following up on his reads. Danny seemed to be a little tight in ep #1 so maybe he is learning but you know Matusow has not. They read well and then do exactly the opposite of what they should do with the read they have. |

[/ QUOTE ] At Bellagio they just push chips back and forth until new fish come in. Eli was an uber fish when he first showed up and now circles the tank with the rest of them waiting for new meat. |
