lol- how did I know this was going to be a "I limped with aces" post?
[ QUOTE ] didnt expect this many callers ... so how to do after flop? [/ QUOTE ]Your PF raise was way to small given the action. You have telegraphed your hand here so now you've got to get heads up, and betting the pot isn't going to do it. Your first raiser is probably going to call, since he likes his hand, and then everyone behind is doing to get tremendous odds to call. You do not want a big, multiway pot here. You need to send a message with your raise that you are going to play for stacks and anyone who calls better be ready to gamble. I am probably raising to around 300 here. Oh, and given the action I'm pushing this flop. |

Re: 20/180 PS - AA first hand
You have to raise and protect your hand...The only reason to slowplay aces is if you already have seen pots tightly contested preflop with aggressive raisers and reraisers. With no information that leads you to believe this, you must, must raise...Not doing so is a huge mistake

But you really don't want to give players a shot at a pot with 600 for only 160, then 800 for 160, etc. [ QUOTE ] what u think postflop? [/ QUOTE ]I'd play it the same postflop, but I wouldn't like it against so many. |

I'd probably just push PF after your limp. These guys can't get away from hands.

It might be a mistake first hand without reads, but if so it is certainly not a "huge" one. You do have to know how to get away from them if you don't get any raisers and the flop goes bad. But I think it's a mistake to say you always have to play a hand one single way. |

Re: 20/180 PS - AA first hand
with 5 callers between you and the re-raiser i think your raise of 160 is way too small. thats not even the size of the pot. i think you have to atleast bet the pot here. i think something like 350 or 400 would be best.
