When I told him tonight that there was a thread about him here claiming he reneged on a 100K head up match, he said he would still be glad to play the match. Since I barely skimmed the thread myself, someone will have to fill me in with the details if they still want the match to happen.

To be more precise, I need to have one of those who are still interested in playing him to PM me with enough information to get the ball rolling.

David,

Did John explain why he ran out before locking up the $100K? After all, it was HIS idea to get the money locked up.

He said he was drunk.

Thanks,

PokerBob

It looks like David mangled the quote, i think his response was 'He said he was drunk."

Question - was that the reason why he made the challenge or was that the reason why he left? If he was sober I have a gut feeling there wouldn't have been a challenge at all.

Was there any talk of the rules? The MN kids get to play whoever they want or is there a rotation?

The night this dialogue went down, his words were that we could pick whoever we wanted to play, and it was a $100k freezeout with our side getting to choose whatever stakes we wanted it to be (ie we could theoretically say 200/400 if we really wanted to lock up the W with 99.9% likelihood)

that's a bold statement. i don't think anyone has a 99.9% edge HU. doesn't matter how bad esposito might be. and 250bb might go night and day. i am pulling for the lake boys.
