I kind of like a checkraise on the turn, though it is obviously hard to argue with this line as well.

I guess, if you feel like you can outplay villain postflop I don't mind the call so much.

With this kind of flop bet, I often give my opponent a little rope here and check-call the turn, hoping for another smallish bet. This flop bet is pretty weak IMO.

Meh on PF

As played, I like it.

Suaimhnea - the flop bet from villain is pot, I don't see how that's weak

once you turn the J, i would check-call and then block bet just about any river, including another J. the problem with leading the turn, imo, is what are you going to do when you get raised?

My default line would have been

Flop. bet the flop - we have nothing and it would be nice if everyone folded and didn't force me to draw out or play Ace high UI on the river

Turn. block bet the turn with ace high and check-call the turn with an A or J. Since we now have a little something to show down, we are not nearly as desperate to have everyone fold. Since we have a nice draw to go with our marginal hand, we certainly don't want to be blown off it by getting raised with one card to come.

river. block for 1/2 pot with UI pair of jacks and bet full pot to 1.25 pot on a completed flush.

that said, i don't think you played the hand poorly at all. it's hard to say you played it poorly when you bet what was obviously the best hand on the turn.

Even with a screwed up image I'll usually raise AJo from the BB with only one limper.

I lead this flop...you aren't folding so why not take the lead, some FE, and a lot of deception that the bet gives you?

As played turn/river action looks fine to me...don't like checking turn at all
