First 2000 hands in Poker Tracker
I play like SSHE teaches and after reviewing all my hands I see that if I would have played AA thru ATs, AKo thru ATo plus the pairs down to 99s I would be doing great, so why play ANYTHING else? I would be up 150 BB and would have played 154 hands. I comes out to 4BB/hr

Re: First 2000 hands in Poker Tracker
Is this the problem here ie read the FAQ
"If you feel as though you must post a stat post, it is strongly recommended that you have at least a 10K hand sample size." Guys I have been playing for a month, it will be 6 months before I have 10000 hands, throw me a bone, please. Dr. Matt, send her over, I will attempt to teach her chinese math if necessary |

Re: First 2000 hands in Poker Tracker
How much action do you think you would get nut peddling? Also, you would go insane. AA has netted more than I have the last time I looked and probably always will.
The reason we say wait till 10k hands is because 2k doesn't mean anything, sample size is too small. Actually 10k hands doesn't mean much either but it's easy to remember. Review your sessions, respond to hand posts, find your leaks, rinse and repeat. Your patience will be rewarded, or at least it will not get you flamed posting these silly stat posts. |

Re: First 2000 hands in Poker Tracker
Aaron, so do you really think that my next 2000 hands won't resemble the first 2000? and my suited A's will go in the crapper? or maybe that the strong broadways will end up with earning power equal to the strong Ace, is this game so random that 2000 hands is just a flyspec?

Re: First 2000 hands in Poker Tracker
Kerowo, at 5/10 cent limit maybe it just does not play like "poker". People come in and out of game continuously and don't seem to care, it only is nickle/dime. Any thoughts?

Re: First 2000 hands in Poker Tracker
5/10 cent is still poker, just play straightforward and value
bet to death on topic, because one more person saying it might make you believe it: 2k hands is absolutely nothing for winrate ... |

Re: First 2000 hands in Poker Tracker
Considering that some of the regulars here (including me) have been known to pull 2000 hands in a session, I think we know what we're talking about when we say that 2k hands is a drop in the bucket. Have faith and patience. Winning play shows through in the end.
Read posts, respond, do session reviews. In the end you will perservere. |
